This unit is equipped with the advanced Autotrol 263 "Performa" valve, and has all the features found in our Mild Acid Condition Neutralizer, but is supplied with a full charge of calcite (calcium carbonate) and Corosex (magnesium oxide) mix. Magnesium oxide is a more powerful neutralizing agent, permitting correction of conditions below a pH of 6.4, or when your water contains a high level of TDS (total dissolved solids). Our standard unit comes with a 1 cubic foot of 5:1 calcite:Corosex mix media, typical for most pH correction applications where stronger correction of pH is required.

Top Quality Media - Our pH neutralizers use only the best quality neutralizer media. Calcite is crushed white marble, naturally occurring and mined in the United States, and used to alter acidic water to a neutral, less corrosive value. Corosex (magnesium oxide) is a stronger neutralizing agent, and when mixed with our standard Calcite media, will allow for improved correction of your water pH at low pH levels or with higher TDS levels. One of the advantages of a Calcite/Corosex mix is its self-limiting property - correcting pH only enough to reach a non-corrosive equilibrium - it does not overcorrect pH when used properly. As water passes through the media bed contained within the neutralizer, it contacts the Calcite/Corosex mixture, and acidic waters slowly dissolve the calcium carbonate/magnesium oxide to raise the overall pH. The resulting neutral values reduce the potential leaching of copper, lead and other metals that can be found in plumbing systems. The system automatically backwashes to prevent packing, reorganizing the media bed, and maintaining high flow rates. Included!
High Flow Riser & Backwash - Our pH neutralizer systems use a high flow 1.05" distributor with a gravel underbed to ensure effective performance, and proper distribution of flow throughout the bed. The Autotrol control valve automatically delivers the high backwash rate required for proper cleaning and reclassification of the media bed. Included!
