The N15-M 1.5 cubic foot automatic backwashing calcite neutralizer automatically corrects low water pH. This system is built with the new advanced Autotrol 263 "Performa" valve and 440i control. The timer-based unit controls the automatic backwash cycle, to assure dependability and high efficiency. This unit includes a full 1.5 cubic foot charge (~150 pounds)of calcite, and suitable for most standard residential applications with a water pH range 6.4 and above or TDS less than 150 ppm. The media tank, manufactured by Structural, is poly lined, fiberglass reinforced and supplied in an off-white color. All tanks are supplied with a dome-hole for easy and quick replenishment of the consumable neutralizer media. Due to the dome-hole access, these units are not available with an optional colored insulating jacket. Filters include a system by-pass valve.

Top Quality Media - Our pH neutralizers use only the best quality neutralizer media. Calcite is crushed white marble, naturally occurring and mined in the United States, and used to alter acidic water to a neutral, less corrosive value. One of the advantages of Calcite is its self-limiting property - correcting pH only enough to reach a non-corrosive equilibrium - it does not overcorrect pH under normal conditions. As water passes through the media bed contained within the neutralizer, it contacts the Calcite, and acidic waters slowly dissolve the calcium carbonate to raise the overall pH. The resulting neutral values reduce the potential leaching of copper, lead and other metals that can be found in plumbing systems. The system automatically backwashes to prevent packing, reorganizing the Calcite bed, and maintaining high flow rates. Included!
High Flow Riser & Backwash - Our pH neutralizer systems use a high flow 1.05" distributor with a gravel underbed to ensure effective performance, and proper distribution of flow throughout the bed. The Autotrol control valve automatically delivers the high backwash rate required for proper cleaning and reclassification of the media bed. Included!
