The 5 gallon per minute Sterilight Drinking Water System is designed for use in a low-flow whole house application, like a cottage, cabin, boat or RV. It combines an ultraviolet sterilization unit with a cartridge filter system for great tasting sterile water. The system provides an economical way of treating water at a single location, with 99.99% reduction of bacteria, virus and protozoan cysts (Cryptosporidium and Giardia lamblia) – without adding and harmful chemicals to your drinking water! The UV portion of the system is constructed with a 304 stainless steel housing with a easily replaceable high intensity UV sterilization lamp that delivers 30,000 mw/cm2 at 254 nm wavelength and a pure quartz lamp tube for peak UV dosage. Each unit has an onboard visible on/off lamp failure alarm. The units are supplied with a 5 micron sediment filter cartridge and activated carbon cartridge.

Quality Construction - Sterilight Drinking Water Systems (DWS) are constructed with a 304 stainless steel housing, high grade quartz tube. Filter housings and manifold are rugged and of commercial quality. The 5 GPM unit is provided with 3/4 inch piping connections.
More Features - Sterilight Drinking Water Systems use the new electronic “ICE” ballast technology, offers constant current output, cooler operating temperatures and increased energy efficiency. The system provides constant output current and a universal power input (100-240V/50-60Hz), along with improved on-board surge protection. Great Warranty - Sterilight DWS systems are covered by a 7-year warranty on reaction chamber and 1 year warranty on components other than the replaceable filter cartridges.

Replacement UV lamp - Having a spare lamp on hand is convenient in the event of unexpected lamp failure. Supplied with o-rings. Note: to protect your system from power surges, we recommend plugging your system into an inexpensive surge suppressor. Part number S463RL.
Replacement Quartz Tube - Although not an item requiring regular replacement, a spare quartz tube eliminates down-time if the original tube is damaged. Supplied with o-rings. Part number QS-463.
Replacement Filter Set - The Filter set includes a 10" length x 5-Micron sediment pre-filter and 10" length high grade modified carbon block post filter. Frequency of filter replacement varies, but typical replacement frequency is one to two times per year. Note: we do not recommend keeping filters in service beyond a one-year time period. Part number AWP110-2 (sediment) & C-02 (carbon block).
