With a fully programmable microprocessor control and battery back-up, this up-flow regeneration and proportional brining system continuously measures how much of the ion-exchange resin bed is exhausted. Based on this measurement, the unit only regenerates the exhausted portion of the bed - this conserves the amount of salt that is required during a normal regeneration, and provides the highest efficiency and lowest salt consumption. The system also provides high flow (1” connections standard) & low pressure drop, along with a fully programmable microprocessor control and battery back-up. Polyethylene tubing is typically used during for connection to a water softener or automatic backwashing filter drain fitting. Although 10 feet of tubing is provided at no charge along with the purchase of any of backwashing equipment, longer lengths are sometimes required. This flexible clear polyethylene tubing carries waste water to drain during the regeneration and/or backwashing cycles. Tubing is 5/8" in diameter (1/2" ID) and supplied in 100' rolls. Only available when purchased with a water softener or backwashing filter.
