Autotrol Turbulator Distributor
A distributor is the riser tube that is located in the center of the ion-exchange resin bed. With a standard design, water passes down through the resin and up through the distributor during the water softening process.

A turbulator can replace a standard riser tube in most "down-flow" designed water softeners. A turbulator physically moves the resin from the bottom of the bed to the top, stirring up the resin to increase sediment removal and conditioner efficiency. Using a water-stream compression device, a turbulator propels resin beads at high speed to the top of the resin bed, then allows them to settle back to the bottom. Small sediment that may have accumulated in the bed (like dirt or iron) are scrubbed from the resin beads and washed to the drain. So the bed is constantly turned over and reclassified. The result? Resin beds stay cleaner and last longer!

Turbulators are not used in 64,000 grain capacity softeners, up-flow (counter-current) softeners, high-flow 1.25 inch softeners, and twin-tank water softener designs. Turbulators are standard on all CAI down-flow water softener designs.

Benefits you can expect from soft water

  • Better Tasting Food & Beverages
  • Save Money on Detergents, soaps & Conditioners
  • Extend the Life of Pipes and Fixtures
  • Skin & Hair Will Feel Softer & Cleaner
  • Cleaner Clothes

A water softener will improve your quality of life and save you money as well. Mineral build-up caused by un-softened water will no longer occur on pipes, fixtures and equipment. In many cases, past damage caused by hard water will actually be reversed! Water softners (watersoftener, waterconditioner, water softners, watersoftner) and water softner systems remove a host of problems through the process of ion exchange.  Scale & build-up due to calcium and magnesium hardness (hard water deposits) are removed, providing you with soft water and improved water quality.
A Commercial/industrial water softener is available for any application. Please inquire for more information!

Why choose a CIA Water Softener?

HIGH EFFICIENCY eWaterOnline-CAI softeners utilize "State of the Art" control systems to yield higher efficiencies than other systems. Our Softeners can have the highest real-life efficiency of any softening system available when ordered with our high-end micro-processor controlled valve. Many available eWaterOnline-CAI Softeners use a proportional counter-current brining system that requires up to 60% less salt than competitive softeners.

LOW MAINTENANCE eWaterOnline-CAI Softening systems are designed to be easy to use. High efficiency metered units are available that use less salt than standard timed systems. Many of our units utilize a unique soft water refill of the brine tank that results in longer run time between routine maintenance calls.

QUALITY CONSTRUCTION eWaterOnline-CAI Water Softener construction is second to none. Our valves are constructed of Noryl, a high-tech patented material from GE, or durable lead-free brass. The resin tank is fabricated of fiberglass and lined with polyethylene - a completely corrosion resistant system!

SUPER SAVINGS An eWaterOnline-CAI Water Softener will allow you to use less soap and detergent, saving the environment and saving you money. In addition, a Water Softener prevents the build-up of harmful mineral scale, adding years of service life to pipes, appliances and hot water heaters, thus paying for itself in both short and long term.
