OXY-MAX Air Injection System
OXY-MAX Air Injection System
OXY-MAX systems use air to safely remove hydrogen sulfide (rotten egg smell) and iron from your water. The air in the vent tank causes the iron and sulfur to precipitate. With OXY-MAX there are no chemicals to measure, replenish or contaminate your water. The OXY-MAX system is a safe and maintenance free way to solve many iron and sulfur problems through a three step process:
  • Oxidation
  • Precipitation
  • Filtration and Removal
Other air injection systems use venturies and micronizers that rely heavily on the well pump system. The OXY-MAX system injects pressurized air directly into the system without restricting water flow with a "double aeration" configuration to solve even high sulfur and dissolved solids problems! The system also incorporates an electronic venting device that is more reliable and efficient than mechanical air vents. The system pump injects air only when your well pump is in operation (when ordering, please specify your well pump voltage above. The standard OXY-MAX-F is supplied with a 1.5 cubic foot automatic backwashing carbon filter that filters out particulates and provides a final "polish" to improve your water's taste and quality. For even greater sulfur removal efficiency, the OXY-MAX-FC uses Calgon's high quality patented "Centaur" carbon. In cases where sulfur is not present, choose the OXY-MAX-FB which includes birm filter media to remove any residual iron. Please email or call us for more information to select the right system for your needs.

Sulfur-Pro Systems
Sulfur-Pro Systems
New Product! Our Sulfur Pro III Systems use a chemical free oxidation process to remove very high levels of Sulfur. Using a specially designed Fleck microprocessor based control valve, air is maintained in the system tank that works with a premium grade carbon media to oxidize the sulfur (as well as low levels of iron and manganese) contained in your water. The oxidized material is collected in the filter bed, and the fully automatic control cleans and flushes the bed very aggressively. The Sulfur-Pro is available in three capacities; our standard design, for flow applications to 7 GPM, higher flow applications to 11 GPM, and 15 GPM for very large flow residential applications. If you are not sure which system is right for you, please contact us for a recommendation. The 7 GPM systems use a modified Fleck 5600SE control, and come with a 3/4 inch by-pass valve. The 11 and 15 GPM systems use a modified Fleck 2510SE control, and are complete with a 1 inch by-pass valve.

Iron-Pro Systems
New Product! Similar to our Sulfur-Pro System (above), the Iron Pro III Systems use a chemical free oxidation process to remove very high levels of iron. Using a specially designed Fleck microprocessor based control valve, air is maintained in the system tank that works together with a birm filter media to oxidize the iron (as well as low levels of sulfur) contained in your water. The oxidized material is collected in the filter bed, and the fully automatic control cleans and flushes the bed very aggressively. The Iron-Pro is available in three capacities; our standard design, for flow applications to 7 GPM, higher flow applications to 11 GPM, and 15 GPM for very large flow residential applications. Nitrate Removal System
Nitrate Removal System
The NIT-1M system removes nitrates from your household water supply! This dual tank system operates in a way similar to a water softener, and uses nitrate selective resin to rid your water of harmful nitrates. The system uses a Fleck 9000 mechanical metered Econominder control (3/4" connections standard) with a brass valve body. The 9000 Econominder delivers a higher flowrate for larger residential applications and uses an "up-flow" backwash for a very efficient cleaning of the softener resin bed. The system has a "twin tank" duplex design with two separate resin tanks and single brine tank. The unit is provided with an extended range meter (625 to 10,562 gallons) to provide you with the ability to regenerate as required between the indicated range. Beige colored resin tanks, manufactured by Structural, are poly lined and fiberglass reinforced. A system by-pass valve is included along with the purchase of this unit. With proper operation the media will last three to five years before requiring replacement. Your water should not contain nitrates at concentrations higher than 25 ppm - please email the factory for correct sizing if your water contains a higher nitrate concentration. If your hardness exceeds 8 grains per gallon, your water must be pre-softened. The hardness components in your water (magnesium, calcium, etc.) will be selectively removed by the system - possibly leaving some of the nitrates behind - and shortening the life of the resin bed. So, if you have moderate to high levels of hardness in your water, you must always install a water softener upstream of the nitrate removal system. To select a water softener for your needs please visit our Twin-Tank Water Softeners page.

SandMaster Sand Filter
SandMaster Sand Filter
Many wells supply water that contain sand and sediment. The Lakos SandMaster separates these solids from your water - providing cleaner ice, faucet aerators and drinking water, and keeping appliances, water heaters and sprinklers running at peak efficiency. These units are easy to install between the well pump and pressure tank. A valve is installed on the sand purge connection for periodic removal of the separated material from the SandMaster tank. Standard units have carbon steel construction with plastic internals. For outdoor installation or harsh environments consider the SandMaster Plus with 304 stainless steel construction and plastic internals.

It is important to be sure your flow rate is within the suggested range for proper filter action - filters are available to handle higher flow rate - please contact us for more information. Optional accessories for the SandMaster are also available.
